"Charter, Funding Model, Governance and Transparency" and Post-flood Work and Achievements

 Email from AIT President

Dear Members of the AIT Community,

21 June 2012 marked eight months since the devastating floods inundated the AIT campus. The impact of last year's floods on AIT has been truly devastating on all accounts.  Despite its worst crisis in history and numerous challenges, the Institute continues to traverse its journey relentlessly and undeterred.

The below document provides a representative sampling of AIT's work and achievements during the past eight months.

AIT Post-flood Activities and Achievements

In the aftermath of the floods, there has been a lot of highlight on the new AIT Charter, exploration of a new funding model, and also on the governance and transparency of the Institute. The AIT Management Team has taken the initiative to produce the below document which provides a status report and helps clarify the different issues.

"Charter, Funding Model, Governance and Transparency"

Every crisis comes with an opportunity, and the AIT management team strongly believes that this is an occasion for the revival and rebuilding of AIT - one that is financially sustainable and one that we can all be proud of for its continued contributions to a developing Asia-Pacific region and world.

Our shared hope and vision is that of a better, stronger AIT.
