This course aims to prepare students in planning and justifying their research project, particularly those who are not proficient in English.  In this course, students will learn how to choose a topic, specify the focus of their research, develop the research questions and identify the key concepts that are essential in their planned research.   Online discussions and peer reviews will also be incorporated in the course using Moodle.  This will provide the students with the opportunity to discuss their writing, get feedback, and contribute their views and resources to others.

Every student will get enough support in drafting the three chapters required in a thesis proposal; namely, the introduction, literature review and research methodology.  They will also learn how to make use of the on-line resources, and various quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques of doing a research (e.g., survey, RDS/RS methods, interviews, modeling and simulation).
