The minutes of the first General Assembly Meeting for the 2011, January semester are attached. The summery is given below.

 

Summary

The first meeting of the General Assembly was held on the 7^th of February, 2011 at Milton E. Bender Auditorium from 7:30 pm to 10:30pm.

-            The President presented the outline of planned activities for the semester.

-            The GA endorsed the Committee chairpersons appointed by the President and approved the SU budget.

-            The election commissioner and the Committee Members were selected. The election date was decided.

-            The SU Treasurer was appointed.

-            Discussion on the number of GA representatives of SOM was postponed.

-            Discussion on a separate Gender Committee was dropped from the agenda.

-            The GA extended its support for the proposal by Muslim Students' Association to modify the Friday time table to allow for Muslim Prayer times.

-            The GA decided to request AIT administration to increase internet quality without additional cost on the students.

-            Discussion on the charging of a fee for HBO room was postponed for the next meeting.

The Meeting was adjourned at 10:30 pm.
